INTERVENTION & CONSULTATION

Family Interventions: Helping your loved one overcome addiction

Specialized Outpatient Services in Oklahoma City, OK, has assembled a highly experienced team of professionals to provide intervention, consultation, case management, and recovery mentoring services. We provide expert direction and planning for every aspect of the intervention, treatment, and long-term recovery process. There are many common misconceptions about intervention. Some think it is an emotional ambush or attack. However, an intervention is a carefully planned process founded on love and honesty. Many people have heard about tough love where tough come first, but the staff at SOS put love first. Our staff not only have years of professional experience and advanced degrees, but they also have their own personal recovery stories. Call us today for more information at (405) 810-1766

Structured Family Interventions

Our clinical intervention services are comprehensive. Our structured intervention service includes the following elements:

Training: Including how to answer objections, how to use the power of the group to break through denial, how to structure bottom lines and more.

Rehearsal: Including various scenarios that might take place in the intervention, contingency planning, and direction.

Intervention: A specific and organized conversation with the addicted person to break denial and move them into treatment.

Escort: Additional charges may apply to escort your loved one to treatment, beyond the necessary travel expenses.

Case Management and Follow Up: Including liaison between the treatment center and the family and general questions.

Family Services:

  • Structured Family Recovery: A weekly program that brings families back together, prevents relapse, and lays a foundation for real recovery.
  • Recovery Mentoring: We provide recovery mentoring in the critical first weeks — and up to 12 months.
  • Case Management: We can assure continuity of service between various providers (inpatient, outpatient, psychiatric, etc.), and we can also continue to provide consultation and counsel to the family or workplace in the months following treatment.
  • Monitoring: We offer comprehensive monitoring services, including urine and hair follicle drug tests, workplace recovery contracts/agreements, day reporting and much more.

Executive and Impaired Professionals Intervention

When impaired professionals and/or executives (a physician, nurse, pilot, attorney, high level executive, CEO, CFO, or the president of the company) has a chemical dependency problem, it becomes increasingly difficult to address. Their positions protect them from many of the consequences of addiction. Others may be reluctant to discuss the problem. But an impaired executive can have a profoundly negative impact on their workplace or company.

A structured intervention is one of the most effective methods for motivating an addicted executive, physician, or attorney to accept treatment. A modified or executive-style intervention is another effective method. An executive-style intervention utilizes the professional interventionist alone or a very small team. This may be crucial when top level executives require the highest degree of confidentiality within their workplace or company.
